CIHE Growth Dashboard

A private analytics and reporting tool for the Canadian Institute for Historical Education (CIHE). It brings together performance figures from CIHE's own YouTube, Instagram and Facebook accounts so CIHE can understand how its history-education content is reaching people and prepare its monthly reports.

Built and operated on CIHE's behalf by Collective Motion.

What it does

Shows CIHE's own channel and post performance — views, watch time, reach, engagement and audience growth — and produces CIHE's monthly measurement reports.

Read-only

It only reads analytics. It never posts, uploads, edits, comments, messages or changes anything on any platform.

CIHE's accounts only

It connects only to accounts CIHE owns, authorized by CIHE. It collects no information about individual viewers or followers.

How the dashboard uses Google and YouTube data

The CIHE account owner connects CIHE's YouTube channel through Google's sign-in, granting two read-only permissions: View your YouTube account (youtube.readonly) and View YouTube Analytics reports for your YouTube content (yt-analytics.readonly). The dashboard uses them only to read CIHE's channel details, its public videos and their YouTube Analytics figures, and to show those figures to CIHE's team and in CIHE's reports. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is read, how it is stored and protected, how long it is kept, and how access can be revoked.

This dashboard uses YouTube API Services. See the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Not a public service. The dashboard itself is available only to authorized CIHE and Collective Motion staff. Members of the public do not sign in to it, and no visitor data is collected on this website.
